It depends upon the nationality of the applicant. GCC citizens do not need a visa to enter the UAE. Some of the other nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival while others need to apply for a visa in advance to enter in UAE.
Entry into the UAE is subject to immigration approval. It takes approximately three to four working days to process a visa. However, it is recommended that you apply at least one week before the visit.

  • A bank statement for the last 6 months with a balance of $4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies.

A person should be outside of UAE for more than six months. Original passport will not be required in such case. But if you are outside of the country for less than six months your need to send your original passport to your visa sponsor to proceed the visa cancellation.

The grace period to exit the UAE after a residency visa cancellation is between 30 to 180 days. The grace period depends upon the category of the visa

    • Students who have completed their studies
    • Skilled professionals (first and second level in the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation classification).
  • 90 days grace period is for
    • Skilled professionals (third level in the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation classification)
    • Property owners
  • 60 days grace period is for
    • Normal residencies
  • 30 days grace period is for
